Where to go
I have been asked many times over the years where I like to go camping and what type of camping I enjoy.
The answer is simple; if I’m outdoors it doesn’t matter.
Camping can be a bunch of boy scouts and their parents/leaders spending the weekend at Hawk Mountain in tents on platforms in November.
Camping can be a family outing in our 1963 Shasta 13’ trailer at a Jellystone campground.
Camping can be three or four couples spending a long holiday weekend in one room cabins on Wilmington Island.
Camping to me is more of a state of mind, an escape from the harsh realities of everyday life then a particular style or type of camping.
What’s camping to you?
‘Till Next Time…
Eric

I’m a fan of the outdoors, too, but I have to admit that when I camp nowadays, I prefer someplace with real restrooms nearby.
I can completely understand that!
My wife loves to camp but when we talk about where to go that is one of the first things she looks for!
